Berlin Lab Los Angeles
Berlin goes to Hollywood and celebrates 50 years of city partnership between the metropolises Berlin and Los Angeles – with a little bit of Berlin in LA: On this anniversary, the German capital is introducing itself with the Berlin Lab in Los Angeles. The two-day Berlin Festival will take place on October 4 and 5 and is intended to encourage a dialogue on freedom. On both days, the city will show a cross-section of its diverse scenes and the people behind them in the Berlin Lab: Technology, science, art and culture, music, and food.
The program includes panel discussions on cultural themes, screenings and workshops for young filmmakers, a dance performance of the Flying Steps, a lot of music, a virtual reality station, and the art of Berlin street artists “Die Dixons,” an evening designed by the Tech Open Air (TOA), the largest European interdisciplinary technology conference in Berlin, and a design talk about 100 years of Bauhaus. Visitors are also cordially invited to the “Langen Tafel” to discuss freedom in Berlin and Los Angeles over Berlin-typical food.
Berlin and Los Angeles are both cities for longing. Places that allow you to live and share your dreams with minds that think alike. Berlin major Michael Müller
